In a barbershop or salon, light is a tool. The cutting station needs 500 lux, the rest of the room 300. In practice: 30 m² → 7 cells (168 W), 50 m² → 11 cells (264 W).
Colour temperature decides the colour work. 4000 K comes closest to the light in which the client will see their hair outdoors and at home – a colour that looks right in the chair looks right that evening too. 6500 K is cooler and emphasises cool tones.
Shadow-free: light from six sides leaves no hard shadow on the client's face and no shadow of your hands on the neckline. The same shape photographs well – the honeycomb pattern on the ceiling reads in Instagram shots without extra lighting.
Dimming: stepless 0–100 % gives bright light for cutting and soft light for washing and treatments.
